Under the famed Kapian Teahouse sits The House, an underground gambling ring where anything goes. Only the upper-class elite are able to join this table, including a mafia boss, CEO, and flirtatious entrepreneur. You enter the table not as a player, but as the dealer… one who actively cheats players out of their winnings. Switch cards, swap hands, and manipulate the table in order to gain as much money as possible!

This game was created for the GMTK Game Jam 2023 with the theme of Roles Reversed. Where many times players feel like most gambling systems are rigged against them, we’ve decided to finally give the power to the player.

HOW TO PLAY:

The game's goal is to make a hand close to but under 21, with face cards being worth 10 and ace being 1 or 11. After dealing cards, you can look at them and choose to stand, meaning you take no more cards, hit, meaning I deal you another card with the option for more, or double down, meaning you double your wager and I deal you your final card. You can continue to hit until you reach or go over 21, at which point everyone reveals their cards. If a player goes over 21, they’re out automatically. A player with a hand of 21 wins, or if there are none, the player with the hand closest to it does. YOUR GOAL IS TO RIG THE GAME. Switch cards when dealing to players, swap hands around the table, and manipulate the game so that you can make as much money as possible. 

GAME CONTROLS:

Use arrow keys to pick what cards to deal to each player

Use left mouse to confirm that card will be given to that player

When you’ve dealt out cards, you can rotate people’s hands with the button
